EnerG II ® - Your superior source of bypass fat

EnerG II® is a palatable, patented formula of calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids. Calcium salts are rumen inert, yet highly digestible in the small intestine.

EnerG II® is an essential, safe, concentrated source of rumen bypass energy used to decrease per unit cost of milk production and maximize profits.

Product Benefits
      Nutritional Advantages

  • Raises the energy density of the ration, helping provide the required energy for increased milk production, better body condition, and reproductive efficiency.
  • Is rumen-inert, so it doesn't adversely affect rumen function the way unprotected fat sources can when used above five percent of the total ration.
  • Delivers a net energy of lactation of 2.96 Mcal/lb, which is more than three times the energy of corn or barley.
  • Significantly lower levels of stearic acid when compared to hydrogenated and hydrolyzed fat products.
  • Provides highly digestible long-chain fatty acids that can be used directly by the mammary gland in the production of milk and butterfat.
  • Helps get essential energy into cows during environmental stress (heat, mud, cold, crowding) or other periods of less than optimum dry matter intake.
  • Aids reproduction by enhancing the progesterone production, better ovarian follicle development, and higher conception rates.

Feedmill Advantages
  • Suitable for use in all commercial dry feeds, total mixed rations, and on-farm top dressing programs.
  • Superior handling, processing, and storage attributes when compared to hydrogenated and hydrolyzed fat products.
  • Superior pelletability attributes since it won't melt, crumble or clump.
  • Free-flowing, dry, granular material that can be shipped in bulk, stored in overhead bins, and does not melt, freeze, or deteriorate during storage.
  • Supported by Virtus Nutrition's expanded technical support program.

Feeding Recommendations
Close-Up Cows: 0.25 lb/day
Fresh Cows: 0.25-0.5 lb/day
Breeding Group: 0.5-1.5 lb/day
Pregnant Cows: 0.25-1.0 lb/day
Our general recommendation is to feed between .5 and 1.5 lbs. per head per day to receive multiple benefits. For optimal reproduction, our best recommendation is 1.0 lbs until the cow is confirmed pregnant. Consult your nutritionist for the amount that fits your specific needs and objectives.
